I Was Todays Years Old When GameDevHQ Started Feeling Like A Real Company

It’s a crazy thing running a business…99% of the time I feel like I’m completely winging it, and for the past 3 years, GameDevHQ has honestly felt like a hobby.

The reason I say hobby, is because it’s just always been me and my partner, Al. We had a community manager once, but it didn’t work out so well from an economic standpoint. Up till very recently, I was the only one working full-time on GameDevHQ. We’re a young startup, with zero experience of how to run an official business… And I think I like that…I feel like I can control the culture and fit and shape the operation of GameDevHQ how I want to (Hopefully for the better).

Let me share a little history of GameDevHQ and how It got started. I’ll write more on this on a full-blown medium article in the future, but for now, here are the highlights and the important parts.
